Clarence "The Blues Man ' Turner will head to Memphis for the 2008 IBC
Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Clarence Turner and band have won the opportunity to represent the James River Blues Society of Sedalia at the 2008 International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tenn. On Saturday July 14, 2007, Clarence, along with Sean Graves, Jeff Conlin and George Henderson, placed first of six competitors. Second place went to The Biscuit Rollers and third place was awarded to Black Cat Blues Band. The Competition also featured Dell's Blues Band, Chris Winter Band, and South 29 Band. All of the groups performed exceptionally well, which presented a difficult task for the judges. For more info on the JRBS of Sedalia go to
